Harbor Views: Fourth Festivities

It was a fun, if slightly soggy, Independence Day in Safety Harbor this year. Here's a look at some highlights.

The rain held off for most of the afternoon on July 4th, only to come spilling from the sky right around the time the fireworks display was about to start.

The intermittent showers were just sporadic enough to allow the show to go off as planned, albeit in a bit of a sped-up fashion.

"They lit off about 20 minutes worth of fireworks in about 28 seconds," one social media post said.

"Started at 8:58. Ended at 9:08," read another.

Either way the display put a cap on a long, spectacular Independence Day in Safety Harbor, one that was filled with parades, people and plenty of patriotism.

We've compiled sights of the Fourth of July in the Harbor. Some were sent to us, some were submitted to our Boards, and some were posted in a blog by Cristine Reidy Kreplick.

Thanks to everyone who supplied the photos. Enjoy the memories of the 4th!
