Carmen Brandy, Neighbor

Carmen Brandy is a 14 year old Singer/Songwriter and Guitar Player. She was born in Clearwater, and now resides in Safety Harbor, Florida. Carmen started taking piano lessons at age 8 and by the age of 10, started composing her own original music. During the summer of 2011 Carmen got her first guitar and began immediately playing and writing. She is well rounded in her pursuit of music, combining vocals, songwriting and musicianship. In December 2011, Carmen took a step of faith and made her first trip to Nashville. While there, she performed her first "Writers Night" event at the Loew's Vanderbuilt Hotel, where she captured the attention of multiple songwriters.

Carmen’s voice is melodic and captivating while also exhibiting a  warm edgy-ness. Though her lyrics seem to draw in both the young & not-as-young, they are also intelligent and intriguing – offering a far-reaching appeal, unique to an artist in her age range. Her music ambitions are to grow and develop her music to the point of being an artist anyone can relate to, and to perform and deliver her music – that she views as a gift – to everyone she can reach
