I try to support all the local businesses, but I was less than impressed with the Nantucket Bucket when I visited. I had the lobster based corn chowder, which was thick and pasty. The corn was tough as well. I also had a salad that was good-sized but was mostly field greens, which made it very dry. The small amount of dressing that came with it was woefully inadequate. I guess if you want a mixed drink with your meal, this is the place to go. Otherwise, I think there are many other places in town that have much better food and better service as well.

Food is okay, but it just lacks the wow factor and the service is very poor, staff are friendly but the front of house needs to get themselves in order. Been here a few times since it opened and bad service every time, bringing out the entrees at the same time as the apps, they apologized but didn't correct the situation, so our choice was either cold apps or entrees.
Not impressed, a pity as I was really looking forward to having a great seafood restaurant in town. After the amount of effort put into renovation and opening this place, I hoped they put the same in to running it.

Their Lobster Roll and Lobster Chowder are out of this world, and almost offset the terrible service. Of the 5 or 6 times we've eaten here, we only received decent service once. The last time we dined here, I tried one of their buckets. It was very bland and the shrimp hadn't been de-veined. Kinda gross.

Love the Bucket! My favorite is the BBQ bacon/shrimp! Food, service and atmosphere is outstanding. We try to go at least once a week!

This is a great place to meet up with friends - the ambience is excellent - I love the outdoor dining! The food is fantastic and the service was great. Best new restaurant in town - kudos to the Bucket - we'll be back!!!

I could agree with Jimmy P. that I can only eat here once a month, but the reason is that I know that I HAVE to get the lobster based corn chowder every time I go, and it is SO GOOD it must be a gazillion calories! For appetizers, I would highly recommend the crabby potato boats and the feta-stuffed bacon-wrapped shrimp. They are both outstanding and a good value. I haven't tried many of the entrees, but the seared ocean scallops were amazing!!! The namesake Nantucket Bucket entree (which I was told by the owner is meant for one person) is an excellent dish to share, although plan on an arm-wrestling match to determine who gets the half piece of corn on the cob. The owner did tell me he is considering adding a second piece of corn on the cob to the dish.

I hope the owners check this listing. We tried the place 3 times. staff nice enough, but the food and prices left something to be desired. Had two meals where the portions left us hungry after and they served us beer in a plastic cup, as if we were at third friday on the street. No one wants to pay top prices or drink more than one beer in a plastic cup.

The food itself ranged from dry to not so great. We had an overpriced grouper dish $18.95 that was bland, the corn on the cob was half a corn and soggy, and the vegetables were just ok. I dont see how a family could eat here more than once a month.

I am hoping they up their game. We wish them success, but it has to be earned.

The clam plates were great. They had the Ipswich belly clams. The crab dip was a great appetizer. Service was very good. Try the Boston Creme Pie.
