Reader Spotlight: MLK Day Blog Post by Amy Bryant

The acclaimed author and Patch blogger shares her experience in the pre-intergration South.

We don't normally feature the same person in consecutive Reader Spotlights, but thanks to the popularity of Amy Bryant's previous blog post and the relevance of her latest contribution, I thought it was fitting.

Bryant, an acclaimed author and poet, recently submitted this piece regarding an experience she and a girlfriend had while trying to order lunch in the pre-integrated South.

She dedicated the post to the memory of Martin Luther King, Jr., whose holiday we celebrate today.
