2013 has officially begun, and I for one am glad of its arrival. 2012 was an interesting year, and one filled with an ample amount of both tragedies and shining moments of beauty and inspiration. For me personally, 2012 was a year of growth in many facets of my life, and I am proud of my accomplishments and mistakes. I'm immensely proud of the beautiful city of Safety Harbor, and how the Patch has brought us together so that we can share our thoughts and be informed of the events occurring in our town and the nation. I feel like I have been provided with a wonderful opportunity to broaden my horizons in interacting with so many interesting people, and reading what has been posted by my fellow bloggers.
Overall, I look forward to the promise that a new year has to offer, and I believe that I am up for any challenges that may occur. Even though the holiday season has drawn to a close, I don't see a reason why we can't keep the spirit of Christmas alive each day. Goodwill towards others, a sense of community, and most importantly love and kindness to others; Safety Harbor is definitely a wonderful example of that.
Depending on your opinion, the number 13 has always had bad connotations of bad luck befalling those who have the misfortunate of drawing the number, but contrary to that superstition I believe that 13 is in fact a lucky number and is a portent of good things to come. So here's to a good year for us all; we're not out of the woods yet by any stretch of the imagination, and unfortunately tragedies will continue in our lives, but as I have said in some of my other posts, I am hopeful for the future, and I firmly believe in the goodness that is within us.

My 2012 was cosi cosi, We had some setbacks bur prevailed, the fact that I accomplished so much through adversity gives me hope for a better year. 13' wow so I won't walk under a ladder breaking a mirror while holding a black cat.
