Southern Fresh Restaurant Set To Open Today
The Third Avenue North restaurant specializes in fresh, authentic Southern food.
Southern Fresh, a new restaurant featuring fresh Southern cuisine, is opening today following three months of construction and preparation.
The eatery, located on Third Avenue North in the downtown district, will serve "Southern inspired food with a fresh twist," according to owner and longtime Safety Harbor resident Aaron Stewart.
"I've been in the restaurant business for many years, been a general manager for a long time, and I got tired of all the corporate stuff," Stewart said.

"I wanted my first business to be a nice local, hometown restaurant ... and when this space became available, I knew it would be the perfect place."
In addition to staples like fried chicken and roasted pork, Southern Fresh will also feature fresh, homemade Southern-inspired sides, health conscious salads and also offer beer and wine.

With a large wraparound patio outside, Stewart hopes to begin featuring live music in the near future; he plans on having a grand opening in a couple weeks once the launch phase is complete.
"It's been three months, but it feels like a year," he said. "I'm just excited and nervous to get started."
