Restaurants Banning Kids: Thumbs Up or Down?

There's a "Kids Eat Not" movement afoot at some restaurants across the country that has young diners banned after certain hours and entirely in some cases. What are your thoughts on this, Safety Harbor?

That’s the message some restaurants around the country are sending as they jump on the “Kids Eat Not” bandwagon in an effort to establish adults-only dining zones. Some eateries adopting the philosophy still welcome the youngest diners, but only up until a certain hour at night.

La Fisheria in Houston, for example, welcomes kids until 7 p.m.,according to ABC News. A new sushi place in the Washington, D.C., area doesn’t allow anyone under 18 inside at all.

Tampa restaurants haven't quite jumped on the bandwagon just yet, but there's been some movement in that direction. Semiole Heights' Cappy's asks parents to leave if their kids start cutting up.

The movement to create kid-free dining for adults has even spread to Disney. Palo, a restaurant found on a few of the entertainment giant’s cruise ships, only allows those over 18, ABC points out.
