5 Things to do in Safety Harbor, Tampa Bay This Weekend

What are you doing this weekend, Safety Harbor?

1. Old Fashioned Fish Fry

"Fish Tales and Storytelling - An Old Fashioned Fish Fry," will be put on by the Safety Harbor Historical Society Saturday at the Safety Harbor Museum and Cultural Center. There will be a fish fry dinner, music by the Fritz' band, games, tours and story telling. Tickets are on sale at the Museum and Cultural Center. Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for children. The fish fry begins at 3 p.m. 

2. Free Museum Day

This weekend Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders can get into Bay area museums for free. In St. Pete, the Florida Holocaust Museum and Museum of Fine Arts are free. Present your bank card at the gate and receive free admission Sept. 7 and 8. 

3. Learn Water Colors on Clay

On Sunday head to Practically Pikasso, 500 Main St., to learn about "water-color inspired brush strokes and colors to create a beautiful floral designs." "These clay canvases are ready to hang after firing,"  Practically Pikasso wrote. "We provide step by step instruction to create your masterpiece.  Class fees include all material, supplies and instruction." The class is $40 and begins at 6 p.m. 

4. Tampa Bay Rowdies

Saturday night at Al Lang Stadium in downtown St. Petersburg, your Tampa Bay Rowdies are back home to take on the Carolina Railhawks. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at rowdiessoccer.com or at the Al Lang Stadium box office. Tickets start at $16. 

5. Laugh it Up Courtesy of Rob Schneider: 

The former Saturday Night Liver and star of multiple comedy hits is making his way to Tampa this weekend, Sept. 6-8. Schneider plans to hit the stage at the Tampa Improv in Ybor City several times during his stay. Check out the Improv’s website for show and ticket information.
