Talk about adorable!

The annual Main Street Trick or Treat event drew hundreds if not thousands of residents to downtown Safety Harbor, and judging by the smiling faces and bags full of candy, it was another huge success.

With neighborhood trick or treating slowing going out of style, centralized events like the Main Street Trick or Treat, which has been taking place downtown for almost 20 years, seem to be gaining in popuulairty with parents and kids.

"If this were me, this is where I would bring my kids," Deputy Fire Chief Mike Eash said while kids filed into Station House 52. "It's safer, it's easier to get around."

"The days of running loose around the neighborhood are over."

And despite the large crowds, local business owners and city officials say the kids are well behaved and appreciate of what they are doing for them.

"This event has been going on since 1994 and the kids are always so good and polite," Lois Spencer of Antiques and Collectibles said.

"We do things big in Safety Harbor," Vice Mayor Joe Ayoub said of the many downtown events. "This is great."

I think Thing 1 and Thing 2 were so cute. They are so much like twins even
without the costumes.

I had so much fun handing out candy to all the kids...what a mob! The costumes were so creative and I loved seeing even the parents get dressed up for all the fun. Thank you to everyone that stopped by Cafe Orlando!
