Nantucket Bucket Coming Soon to Safety Harbor
The seafood restaurant should open in a couple weeks, according to owners.
Fresh on the heels of the latest restaurant to open in the downtown area, Nantucket Bucket, a beach-style shack that will offer a variety of dishes, should be opening soon.
According to the company's Facebook page, the Second Street South restaurant will "serve seafood, but we have menu items for veggie lovers and landlubbers alike." They will also offer a full liquor bar and live entertainment.
There has been much anticipation over the past few months for this place to open, especially since the owners have been selling their popular fish tacos and lobster rolls at 3rd Friday and other area events.
But despite rumors to the contrary, they have not opened yet. According to one of the owners, they are still about two weeks away from the official opening.

But this spot, coupled with the recent opening of Southern Fresh, gives the downtown dining scene a couple of intriguing new entrants.
And if the latest plans for 509 Main Street ever come to fruition, downtown Safety Harbor could turn into that destination place so many residents and visitors have hoped it will become.
