With all the animals, sunset and marina pier shots we've featured lately, I thought today would be a good day to go a little more abstract for this feature.

Thanks to reader Christine Petellat for submitting yet another thought provoking photo to our Pics & Clips gallery, this one of the train tracks that run through the heart of Safety Harbor. Don't stare at it too long, or you might find yourself lost in thought!

Thanks for sharing, Christine!

I have always loved the tracks here. When I was young I wanted to see all of the tracks everywhere. My fondest memories of RR Tracks and Home, Safety Harbor, are of the Circus Train coming through. It was so exciting as a small child waiting for Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus Train! WOW the animals WOW elephant trunks, how neat! I remember actually thinking how lucky I was to live just a couple of blocks from "right here" little Safety Harbor! How awesome the train even came through Safety Harbor. It lasted til the early 90's I think, and the Bay front Center was torn down so no more Circus Train. I may have to blog my very first blog about all of this lol. Home base for the Circus was just over "The" bridge, just like a neighbor. Now I have even traveled by train. Still to just sit, stair, and daydream here on Safety Harbor tracks. Glad you have enjoyed the pic.
